Today's Crain's Chicago Business Column: Women & Entrepreneurship
Looking forward to your feedback on my latest post for Enterprise City!
It's handy to have a deal or two that quenches your thirst for deals on cookies and ribs.
Wouldn't it be nice to have that same concept for doing something, with people who lived nearby, right NOW?There have been times where I felt like grabbing pizza with whomever was in the mood, but distance was a factor. If my friends up in Andersonville ALSO wanted pizza right now, it would take some coordination across the city blocks to meet up. Luckily, I live near some fabulous people and can easily walk over to their condo or townhouse for an ad-hoc dining fest. What if GroupOn Now and Everyblock created some sort of mashup? If I felt like grabbing a slice in the South Loop, I could use a tool like GroupOn Now, see who was interested, then cross reference that interest with actual people I know from Everyblock. Same concept for watching a movie in the park or taking a quick jog on the lakefront. So - who wants pizza?tech, web, pop culture and other observations in Chicago. get a dose.
